Jimmy Cuneyt Gurkan is a dedicated event organizer with more than 15 years of experience in corporate event planning. He is a detail-oriented professional with strengths in event creation, planning and execution. Gurkan started his event management experience working for non-profits in New York organizing concerts, film festivals, art exhibitions, theatre performances and cultural panels. His move from non-profit world to the corporate event arena as the chief operations officer of a consulting firm given him the experience in corporate business events, international trade delegations, conferences, panels, summits, networking events and trade shows engaging in the upwards of thousands of people. Gurkan had a radio show in New York that covered the art and culture of New York City for two years. He was recently selected as a ATS young society leader for his outstanding community work. He loves soccer, connecting people, movies, acting, contemporary art, people and life.
Executive Creative Director
Koman is a film producer, director, actress and an acting coach. Ruya recently
co-directed, produced and starred in "Interference", a short film
written and co-directed by Robin Rose Singer. "Interference" had its
World Premiere at the "New Voices in Black Cinema Festival" at BAM
(NYC). In 2016, she made her directorial debut with a short film that she
wrote, directed and produced, "Reunion", starring the legendary
Judith Roberts and Margaret Reed. The film was an official selection at the
2017 ECU European Independent Film Festival (Paris, France) and the 2017
Chelsea Film Festival (New York City).
In addition to "Interference" and "Reunion", Ruya has produced a number of award winning short films such as Najmia, One Second Changes Everything, Before We Lose, and The Poem of A Memory; as well as a feature film: "Convicted". In 2016, Ruya produced and line produced several short films for director Slick Solvan Naim (The Get Down, Snowfall, The Blacklist, Blindspot, and Power). In 2017, she produced two short films (Mr. Richardson and Compatibility), and one pilot (Man-Babies) directed by various Tribeca alumni.
On the acting side, Ruya is currently playing "Mother" on Gotham. She is also developing her feature film, a biopic of a historical American female figure and being coached by Susan Batson
Serhan Aydemir is a internet guru, traveler, DJ & producer. Being in love with technology his whole life,Serhan joined the internet business in 1996.In 2011 Serhan founded USAilan.com, one of the leading classified ad sites for Turkish Americans in US where you can post ads for services needed. He also continues to share weekly mixes with fans and listeners on the radio by day and manning the decks at some of NYC’s most popular venues.
Social Media Director
Arzu is an editor by profession. Since graduating from the Journalism School at Istanbul University, she has worked in several positions as an editor, running magazines and publishing newspapers in Turkey. Arzu showed great interest in social media marketing which took her to study at Fordham University: Social Media Marketing and New York University: NYU Writing for the Web Digital Journalism to gain more knowledge of social media and marketing.
Arzu’s first job was at a radio station called Best FM in Istanbul. Subsequently, she moved to BEST Magazine where she worked as an editor, she then worked for Forum USA as the Managing Editor after her move to the US. She is currently is doing her MBA in a marketing at Monroe College.
